Ewww god, I dunno, man... The song is doing not a whole lot for me.. Like, I have some ideas, but really, the song just doesn't seem all that great. I saw, while looking for an mp3, that a certain 1-hit band of the 90's did a cover. The band is Nada Surf. But I have not listened to their version... Probably sucks though, considering they only ever did 1 song that was worth a damn ("Popular" was the title.)

Ah, I've checked a few places, can't find the Pretty in Pink soundtrack (jeepers is everyone entering this contest?), can I use the version from the OMB Singles cd? I'll keep looking, but please let me know, thanks.

Bun of Govt- not familiar with that. I'm sure that if you do a search on kazaa you can come up with the song. I will allow any version of the song if there as more than one as long as it is by orchestral manuvers in the dark. If you cut the song off it counts against you.

Garylisk- Congrats on the new computer. That's always a good thing too bad they go obsolete so fast

(thinking of wierd al song). All my contest are based on 80s songs.

Sorry, I meant OMD, not OMB. It is Orchestral Manuevers but it's on their singles cd. I'll keep looking for the Pretty in Pink soundtrack, though, to compare the lengths. Jeepers, so if we cut the song short, it counts against us? This will be a challenge then, as I've only made one vid that even goes to 3 minutes long. woo-hoo!

Lol melodies of life was like 5 minutes long and I had a contest to that. Maybe next contest is Stairway to heaven. If I remember the versions you bought on singles were cut a little but I can tell if a song has been cut off on purpose. I've got if you leave on 45 somewhere if I can get a working record player.

Melodies of Life was 5 minutes and 54 seconds long. It is barely eligable for a convention contest.
