Kusoyaro wrote:What I find odd is that AX managed to whittle down its finalist list in a single weekend (at least, that's what it seemed like to me), and the list had very little controversy. Otakon, on the other hand, takes nearly 3 months to pare down its list, and when the list finally comes out, it's apparently so out of wack that everyone questions whether or not it's actually real.

(this comment only applies to this year, btw)
Well, more like after a week of delays, they posted it in a single weekend.

I'm curious to find out what people thought of my entry, now that I've figured out which video I did end up sending in. It was called Choices, and used Kenshin, Trigun, Vamp D., and X. It was one of so many in the 'serious' category. (I also aggreed with JBone, but I've seen this whole 'popular' thing happen for a long time now...shrugs...)

It should be. Even if the videos we thought would make it did (or do), there were still a good number more good videos worth seeing that there just wasn't room in the contest for.

I'd hate to be the poor sucker who finds out that their video didn't make it into the final list after all (me :P).
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

Drama alone was about 1/3 of the total entries in the contest from what I remember, and there were quite a number of good ones in the category. IMO, it was easily the toughest category to make it into based on the competition.

Lol. Yeah, I was really surprised that Phenomenon didn't make the cut either... it's so popular on this site already, and with it being a flashy Naruto action video I would've thought it would be popular among an audience too.

Oh well, if this is the final list then it's not too late to enter AWA Expo.

Yeah? I didn't go to any of the prescreenings, so I wouldn't know. Though, even if that *is* the final list, I feel better about not getting into the category.

Now to contemplate other ways to successfully pimp my video
