No style-shattering Pro video from you this year after all, hmm?

Or are you just saying that so we won't guess which one's yours? :O

I logged into awa-vat.org and it's still showing the 2008 stuff.

Any idea when we can start uploading our 2009 videos?

Do the video numbers continue from previous years, or do you already have 620 entries? D:

No, the database still has all the older videos from years past (http://www.awa-vat.org/contest_list.php) so the video ID #'s are a little misleading in that regard.

Otherwise, yea the AWA submission site for the current year is once again up and active. Sorry for the delay. Anyone with an account from a previous year should still be active, and new requests since the convention last year have now been processed. If you can't remember your login/password email me (vattechnical@gmail.com) from the email you registered with and we'll get you hooked up with a reset.

For all entries to our contests, two things are required:
1. Register the video under the appropriate category on our website, http://www.awa-vat.org.
2. Get your video to us. Options include requesting an FTP account through our system, physical delivery through the mail, etc. If you have your file on your own hosting or something similar and would prefer we grab it directly we can work with you, but please no links to a-m-v.org hosted videos or flash based websites.

Pro and Masters require a little bit more but I'll refer you back to the full rules for that. Any questions or problems with the site, let us know.

Crap, I gotta upload my pro video ASAP. Stupid procrastinating because I'm not sure if I want my new video to go into pro or masters.

I think that I'm officially going to skip out of the Pro contest. I'm definitely capable of finishing my amv by the deadline of the 24th, but I'd rather take my time and make sure that the finished product truly pushes the limit of my ability. I've learned that even when I think that the quality of my video isn't being sacrificed, a few days after I submit my entry, I start seeing mistakes that I "conveniently" overlooked while trying to make the deadline.
So even though I'm probably going to finish my Clannad amv on the day of the Pro deadline, I'm going to let it sit for a week or two, perfect it, and submit it in the expo contest

I guess that my very first Pro contest entry will have to wait till next year. This is probably for the best when considering that the amv that I'm working on right now would be my first video that comes even remotely close to Pro standards.
