Re: Anime Expo 2012 AMV Contest - (EZ Rules) DEADLINE: MAY 5
Ok, thank you, that's a relief . I had two midterms and a seven page essay the last week of submission so I didn't get some of them rendered until May 5th after not sleeping the previous night, and didn't think to crop/uncrop black on the sides for the first two (which would correctly be 960*720).

I meant that, in my opinion, the AX2003 DVDs I made aren't that great, especially when compared to Lagarith encodes and 720p encodes that are commonly seen nowadays. Everyone else tells me those DVDs look fine and I'm being nitpicky, but one is always more critical of their own work.Ryvannis wrote:I would really like to know what you meant when you said that

AX2003 was one of those contests equivalent to the wars you hear in greek mythology.

which reminds me xstylus, seeing that HD quality of videos was accepted this year (mad props btw, I am really happy this turned into a submission format), how are the videos going to be presented this year?xstylus wrote:I meant that, in my opinion, the AX2003 DVDs I made aren't that great, especially when compared to Lagarith encodes and 720p encodes that are commonly seen nowadays. If you can't divulge into the venue, don't worry about it. I am just wondering if the videos are gna re-processed back into MPEG-2 with 480 resolution.
also, props for adding the difference in square pixel and non-square pixel resolutions.
