As there's no third round of voting mentioned anywhere, I assumed the winners of the 2nd round were the winners period.Castor Troy wrote:Those were it? I thought the finalists would be the winner of each category in the 2nd round voting.Scintilla wrote:Not #20, was it? I kept thinking "if that video had been nominated in the drama category, I'd vote for it in an instant"...silver_moon wrote:Yep, she did enter. We said beforehand already that people would probably think that her vid was mine, and mine hers (she made a drama instead of her usual action this time). I'll let her announce which video she made, but as a hint, her video was one of the finalists.AtomX wrote:I had honestly pegged your sister for that one Seemed more her style. Did she enter Pro? Either way, damn good video!
Didn't you find out when you voted in the second round of voting?Castor Troy wrote:Hopefully I don't sound dumb but where do we find out who are the finalists?

It's even wierder that it's happened at two cons in a row.Castor Troy wrote:Kind of funny how yours and Nic's videos were put together. The Wired Knight wrote:Heh, some were a bit obvious.
As for mine, well anybody who went to Anime Expo knows which one mine was

Well a couple guys who knew me thought I was the Noir video entirely on the account that I am a shoujo-ai loving lesbian. I got quite the laugh over that one.
And yes the Naruto/Trigun/FMA one was a complete shock. God was that a fun video.
Of course there was another naruto video that was done by someone entirely unexpected but that person reserves the right to be outed.

Yes, of course. NUMBER 16!Vlad G Pohnert wrote:I figure I don't have to state which video is mine as mostly everyone figured it out anyway.
No, seriously, that was a nice mash-up as it were of two different anime series with a very good upbeat song. I liked it a lot.
Now I don't read your LJ, so I had no idea. It was interesting to say the least, that everything all fit very nicely. Even with the Linkin Park music.Castor Troy wrote:Now for an omgshock surpise....
Mine was the TMNT/Linkin park - numb video.
It was very funny. Just fix the aspect ratio and it's perfect. The Wired Knight wrote:As for mine, well anybody who went to Anime Expo knows which one mine was

That is totally unexpected.silver_moon wrote:I made the Trigun, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Naruto video to "Get This Party Started" (entry #3). I'll bet you guys weren't expecting me to make an action video.
I got the vibe of "Hey! Let's do a lip-synching high-tech upbeat video w/popular anime characters! We'll get an easy rise out of the fanboys in the audience watching this one!" while watching this video. I thought for sure it was the guy who did Shounen Bushido last year, but it turns out he did a different video for the contest this year.
The video is in no means bad; it's a fine video. It's just... it felt like "Let's pander to the anime fan!" just like I did watching Shounen Bushido last year. (I don't get that feeling watching Elvis vs. Anime however.)
As for my video? Well, even though it wasn't nominated for an award (darn, 0 for 2 so far), I don't wish to disclose which one was mine just yet. I think there's exactly one other person right now that knows which video was mine because I asked him about my song choice before proceeding to make my video.
What I can say about my video is that it may have played just slightly off-sync on some DVD players, which hurt its chances of it being nominated for anything. What also hurt it was the fact that the R1 disc of one of my sources I was using was not officially released until the day after the Pro contest deadline, so I had to make do with *ahem* other sources for my video. The video has been re-encoded with the R1 sources and it looks better now. Even though I didn't get nominated for anything this year, I think I did a fine job still.
Congratulations to the final nominees, and also to the rest of the entrants, you did a fine job.
