Uh, why are some of you revealing the videos you made on facebook? Some of the other judges haven't finished their part of the judging yet. :uhoh:

Gonna take a wild stab in the dark and say the majority of entries you were seriously judging have premiered already.

That's true, and I didn't let that affect my judging, but it is surprising finding out who made certain entries and I would have preferred to keep them annonymous.

I don't require that entrants keep unpremiered entries offline. It would be very nice and deeply appreciated, but Vlad and I are resigned to the fact that among the instant gratification generation it'd be a losing battle. :P

let it go, grandpa :nose:
Spoiler :
For me personally (as I clearly and respectfully stated on facebook) I don't like to hold onto projects. It could be my OCD, but having that constantly in the back of my mind aggravates me. Once I finish a project I want to be done with it. I don't want to carry a vain presumption over my work and assume it'll make finals (in any competition). All I would be doing is setting myself up for disappointment. Chances of making finals for AX are (relatively/statistically not taking into account the talent factor) 1 in 10 - Disappointment #1. And if I do make finals, what if the audience doesn't react like I'd hoped? Disappointment #2. I just spent 2 months in meaningless anticipation. It's not worth the stress to me. What's so terrific about premiering a video at a con anyway? How does this benefit the creator? Is it just the coordinators who want never before seen videos so their contest will come off all that more fantastic?

These are just my thoughts/opinions. This is where I stand and why I do what I do. I'm sure everyone else has their own reasons for doing what they do and all the more power to ya :up:

Me i look at as planning a party for the audience.

"Oh wow you have no idea how awesome this vids going to be. *Looks at his video and laughs* Oh man it's so awesome. You got to check this out. Only you can't... but soon. maybe not soon enough. *SMILES EVILLY* "

Spoiler :
Personally, if I have a new comedy video, I always premiere it at a con, because I want to retain the element of surprise that is so often crucial to comedy. That way the effervescence effect of watching in a huge audience can work to the fullest, as the video will be new to everyone there.
