Well, I've decided there's not a whole lot of point in delaying my confession. And because I just KNOW that everybody has been driving themselves crazy trying to figure out which video I did (read: sarcasm), I figured what the hell. I'm not going to put it on the Org as of yet. That'll wait until after AWA.
I am responsible for entry #21.
Anime: Laputa: Castle in the Sky
Song: Aqualung - Brighter Than Sunshine
It's weird. Even some people who I knew saw betas for this video didn't even guess mine o_O Heh..

I agree that "Classic Anime" would be a more fitting description for that category.Vlad G Pohnert wrote:The only other comment I should add it, that the “Old School” category should have been called “Classic Anime” as that is more fitting.. Old school is usually more of an expression of a mind set or the ways things are done using older methods (i.e. using two VCRs, etc).
Vlad
I can only echo the other comments applauding people's entries. Vlad's captured the Bond style perfectly. I also got pulled into the high energy of #3 in spite of the fan pandering aspect, and I liked how the Wolf's Rain really built up towards the end. AtomX, that Laputa video was just beautiful.
I'd like to know who did the Kare Kano video that my daughter and her friends are raving about. And I'd like Ian to come out of hiding so I can beat him up for making another freaking awesome shiny upbeat video that puts most of the rest of us to shame... and has the Bunny Girl!

I could have sworn I pegged a video that I thought he would make... only to be surprised someone else made it...

That's cool. Wasn't trying to bash you for the character choices you used. I've just sort of noticed certain elements in your works and figured things out.Vlad G Pohnert wrote:Hence, I always try to use the best fit anime regardless of it's age or popularity as that really should not effect how good the video is.
Believe me, if you've seen my vids, you know how I feel about classic anime. ^^
Excellent work BTW.
