I'm not admitting to anything, because I am pretty sure that everyone already knows which one was mine.
Loved the Laputa vid.
Surprised about most of the others.
Current Mood: Missing Ian
Listening To: Mr. Bungle
Sippin' On: Some Syz-urp

Ironicly i did things the opposite way since i knew what your video was i didn't vote for it.
Little potato was so surgery cute that I ended up watching it the most of all of the vids. I like some parts of when the man comes around but i can see how overall it missed just a little (i did like the conecpt and source though)

The blinding in Pro was originally set up to deal with anticipated 'bias' complaints in the era of major personality clashes. (More of a several-large-fish-in-a-small-pond phenomenon then. The pool's gotten a hell of a lot bigger since then, and I've yet to see ego clashes anywhere near the scale they used to be on the mailing list.)
What about Golgo 13?Vlad G Pohnert wrote: The reason for using Ryo of City Hunter isn't because love City Hunter so much, but because he it the best fit "Bond" there is (Yes, a lot more than Spike).. that and the fact that Bond features a lot of gun views in it's openings and so does City Hunter.
Yeah, the 'no previous premier' aspect is really what limits Masters' entries to a handful every year. Pro wouldn't be nearly as much fun without widspread participation, so we've gotta compromise elsewhere. Besides, even with the 'no previous premier' in place, y'all know one another's styles well enough to guess at the makers anyway, so it's a lot of effort to no effect. It works in Masters' largely because I suck at matching vids with their creators.Ashyukun wrote: I actually discussed the possibility of switching Pro over to requiring un-premiered and more heavily enforced blinded entries in the future with Wagner- but he wants to avoid that because it seems that was one of the major problems with Masters, which I can understand.

Als Gregor Samsa eines Morgens aus unruhigen Träumen erwachte, fand er sich in seinem Bett zu einem ungeheueren Ungeziefer verwandelt.

I'm glad it's still around, though- it makes the Pro contest stand out a bit more from other contests, and adds to the fun by letting people try and figure out who made what.MCWagner wrote: The blinding in Pro was originally set up to deal with anticipated 'bias' complaints in the era of major personality clashes. I sometimes wonder if I didn't miss out on something special by getting into the community after all of these fun people apparently left.Kusoyaro wrote:Ahhh, good ol' Joe

Joe Crosdaile was probably the most arrogant creator I've ever met. The guy was just ridiculous.
He was damned good though, and as they say, its not bragging if its true. His Kare Kano video is arguably the best romance video ever, and definitly the definitive Kare Kano peice.
ErMac was pretty conceided, but he had good reason to be. He was the first (?) guy to achieve a mainstream level of technical quality as well as unheard of video quality. His Soul of an Angel video made a huge impact on the community in ways that changed people's expectations on what a video was capable of.
Machine was just a dickhead. He made Faces of Death, thought he was hot shit, and its been all downhill ever sense. He's gotten a lot better though, partly because Wonka and I pick on him so much

Hey, as most everyone knew, my video was "Bride of Berserk".
My participation in the Pro Contest this year was pretty poor. I had to find a new place to live about the same time my Pro DVDs arrived. I ended up only watching the first two DVDs before I had to start packing.
My appologies to everyone, I didn't have the oppertunity to nominate/vote in the contest. I know thats the whole point of the contest, I wish I'd planned my time better. (I also failed to get a video ready for a project I was invited to join, thats a bummer too)
Anyway, hope everyone has fun at AWA, the move cut into my finances and I won't make it out there again this year.

Hey, I didn't know. However, thank you for allowing me to relive my senior year of high school when I played Miles Gloriosus in our production of Forum.Studio Hybrid wrote:Hey, as most everyone knew, my video was "Bride of Berserk".
And even if you can't make it again, you'll still be there in spirit. At least while everybody's singing Hubba Hubba Zoot Zoot.
