Hello editors!

This weekend was so incredible. And without the videos from editors across the globe, we would not be able to do any of this. Here is our list of winners for Kumoricon's 2016 AMV Contest. We had so many high quality videos — so much so that two AMVs did not show at the contest, but still received awards for their prowess. We cannot thank you enough for such an exciting afternoon of AMV goodness!

Our contest this year was so close, and every video received at least one vote for the Best in Show award. In fact, our Best Halloween AMV ended up winning Best in Show as well!

In total, we are mailing at total of 12 certificates and prizes to editors!

Thanks for putting that together! We plan on creating a Kumoricon AMV Contest youtube channel where we will be posting up all of the videos and intros for the contests. This helps a ton!

I logged into this account just to say thanks! This was a really well run contest! XD I made the Drama category winner and was floored that it won! Is there any footage of the actual contest? Like was anyone filming it?

I am so glad that you had a positive experience. We really wanted to revamp our AMV content this year (a goal that we definitely reached). Unfortunately, we didn't have the infrastructure to film the entire contest, but the reaction was great. People were so happy that someone put together a wonderful tribute to all of these seasons of Naruto. Congrats! You earned it!

One of the things on my list is to get another staff member and a dedicated video recorder for next year and possibly live stream the event.

This was my first year entering and I'd love to come back next year!

Haha...! Naruto is a ridiculously long series, but I don't think there's song that could capture the spirit of the series better than that one, even if putting 15 years into 3.5 minutes was a challenge! I'm really glad the audience reaction was so positive! ^.^

Aw. Too bad there's no footage! But that's okay! Congrats to everyone, and hats off to the contest!
