Yeah, I've thought of going that far, but for the time being I think I'll keep the entries to Manifest this year at least as a snail-mail only thing... I've looked into alternatives to ftp and I think I have a couple of good other choices, but I'll have to be experimenting on them for the time being... this and the fact that a group of Australian AMV creators, including me, are forming an AMV studio means that really, changing the way I'm accepting Manifest entries this year will be a big toll on me.

I found this if anyone's interested: Sakura-Con 2005 Winners. I have no way to verify that it's the official list, but I'm almost positive it is accurate.

::edit:: Nevermind, there's already a thread about this. Oh well, I'll leave this up because it has a bunch of links to the downloads...

As I said when leaving the contest, give a moment of silence for Entry #62...

Man, it just uberly blows when an awesome video doesn't make it. T_T

Oh well, at least the ones that did make it were damn cool and unique!

(though having the same Anime clips for 3 different vids was a bit odd)

Yeah, that was odd and repetitive. I'm glad the Gravi ones didn't win solely on popularity (they weren't bad, but they were easily beaten by the rest in quality). The Drama and Action ones were a little iffy on fairness. I think the FLCL one was good, but it was probably picked because of the popularity of the show. It was really the only drama AMV made from a "main stream" anime. As for the Chibi Things that met MA DEUCE, it wasn't really action, and I think some more were better for the category. I did love that AMV though. The only AMV that bothered me was the one containing clips of the FFVII Advent Children trailer for almost no reason. Honestly, I don't think Hellsing and FFVII go together.

LOL.....don't tell that to my teammate, Kilakion. One of his vids is like that.

That stupid Chibi Things vid was lame, in my opinion. And they blew up a
plushie toy that I happen to own - not cool! GRRRRR..... Majin Dan's vid was
loads better than that thing, and DEFINITELY action-packed...

Ok I have sat through this long enough

First off Majin Dan's Video was LONG and had no point, it nearly put all 5 people on the voting panel to sleep.

Secondly if you are this mad about a frends video not being shown then you are being too superficial. You need to Grow up, and GET OVER IT.

Also if you think I did a poor job this year, you can anways apply to do the contest yourself next year

No need to bash other vids because yours (or your friends) didn't make it. there are other cons to submit to. My vid was cut aswell and you don't see me being sore over it ;p

I can see why you feel that way, it's just one person and you put in a ton of work into this contest but it continuing to come up is frustrating.

But don't let one fool get to you. :)
