Thanks. Looks like a decent player. I got the impression that it's better to go with Divx rather than Xvid.Initial B wrote:It's an LG LDA-530 the results of my search can be found here: Link.TaranT wrote: Any chance of knowing the brand & model of player? We will do our best to ensure the quality level stays equal to the quality of the original videos we receive.
Mainly the Huffy rule is for sending in files over email to us. So far, no one has done that, and that's probably a very good thing. I do not recommend it in the least, since sending such a huge email will take a long time, and if it fails, you'll have to start sending all over. If you are submitting online, it's best to host your video elsewhere.
It is recommended that you don't send huffy actually over email. If you are sending anything, use Xvid or Dvix files, compressed as well as you can. Also, if you are sending more than one submission, please send only one a day. That way I have enough time to clear up some room on my server before it gets clogged. Most AMV's can be compressed to under 100 megs without motion artifacts.
What I would recommend is that you use an DivX / Xvid codec, as compressed as you can, and send that in. We are reencoding some of the videos. As you've mentioned before SuperS4, the screen size needs to be 720x480 or it will be stretched. So, we will be making sure there is correct black space on either side for smaller videos, to maintain their original aspect ratio that we receive them in.
