a|xcutie: *big long posty thing before this*
D: *is speechless*
;_; <<<tears of happiness

wow, just wow, that little review has really made my entire week TuT *cries more*

You know, I was initially a bit sad when my other AMV I entered did not make the AmTV finals , but that quickly went away after I saw the AmTV category >_> it certainly didn't diappoint :3

So while the creation of my comedy was not as time consuming as my other video, none-the-less I am very happy with the responses I've seen and heard and I think it was totally worth spending 4/5 days doing nothing but sleeping, eating, going to work, and working on that damn video x.x
[though my other video was two weeks of the same process >_> ...who needs a social life? XD]

I need to start learning how to space out my AMV creation time though...I start on it, then I don't wanna stop or do anything else until I finish T_T (anyone got tips on that? D: )
~(@_@~)

I feel like I'm rambling and not stringing sentences together properly, so I shall go to sleep now...
But first, to all you other category people, both finalists, and even some that didn't make it into the finals, you guys/gals kick some serious booteh! You all rock and deserve awards and such and stuff and things and me go sleppy now because my brain hurts >_>

I'm actually thinking of having a T-shirt made up for myself with a lusty looking Hideki from Chobits on it with text that reads. . . .

"The Internet is for Porn"

while the back reads

"I'm sorry. . ."

Sorry I didn't tell you about the title safe area. (not on purpose :() It didn't occur to me that you'd put subs outside of the safe zone.
Awsome video this year tim btw. And congrats to tthe winners.
Thanks. And thanks for introducing me (and everyone) to Avenue Q. :P I'd heard mention of it on exedore's LJ, but I didn't "get it". I was surprised nobody had used that particular song yet. (according to the local database)
three masquerade sketches to Avenue Q songs and the whole blasted convention going around with "for Porn" on their lips.
I was on my way to a restaurant at Anime North and some girls walking behind me were singing "It Sucks To Be Me".

When I picked up your awards, I said "For porn".

I forgot the context of it though. :P

It's pretty much always in context so long as you're ending some one else's sentence with it.

To be honest, I knew about teh safe zone but for some reason it didn't occur to me. Secondly Avisynth would only put subs on the bottom, middle or top of the screen so I went with what best I could.

Most of the videos on the org seem to be to The internet is for porn or I'm not Wearing Underwear (which is a really short song and hence easy to make a video too.)

This is wandering off topic, but you can provide a "y=12345" argument to the Subtitle source in AviSynth to specify the position directly, instead of using "align" which hugs the edge. Honestly, you're better off using the text generator in your NLE, instead of AviSynth, if you want your subtitles to look good (for porn!).

Returning to the subject at hand, I was really impressed with David Ferguson's Scrapped Princess action video "Between the Truth and the Lies." It's been long enough that I forgot what a gorgeous source SutePuri is, and it was also a treat to see such a tightly-edited and -paced action video that wasn't using audio like Linkin Park or similar. On a side note, does anyone else get confused and annoyed at how videos edited along these lines seem to get split between Action and Drama categories?

AmTV was a tough decision for me. Eventually I settled on "Temporality V." It wasn't quite as technically tight as clean as some other videos shown, particularly "Lupin's Four," but I gave it the nod for doing some things with effects that I didn't remember having ever seen before, or at least not done nearly as well. It kept me interested and impressed throughout, and even gave me some ideas for effects that I'd like to emulate and/or modify for use myself. :D
