Anime Expo 2014 AMV Competition - Finalist List POSTED!

I for one don't mind the wait, as long as the finalists are announced before the con

I think the finalists were announced like 2-3 days before AX2002.
I remember how grueling of a wait that was....

I think AX2000 had the judging, finalist announcement, and contest all at con over the course of 2 days. I went to that con, but missed the amv contest because of work. I wonder if Nic, Brad DeMoss, or Troy can clarify all this.

I was there that year.. the Judging did not take place until the all nighter we had in the freezing ball room watching all the entries so the finalists were not release until the day of the competition!

Last year it ran on day 1 from 9pm until midnight in main events, which is generally the timeslot we prefer. I anticipate it will be the same this year.

There will be an encore and awards ceremony on day 3 (Saturday) at 11am, and I'm informed that barring any strange circumstance, it too will be in main events (YAY!!!). I recommend that all finalists try to be at both. [/quote]

Thanks for the heads up, XStylus. I am just checking because I might not be able to make the amv contest and if I do I would feel horrible to have to leave early T^T. Will definitely be there for awards ceremony though I hope to make both XD
