Oh god, I heard so many people complaining about my video. I checked twitter and people were like WTF the Death Note video is SO LONG. Ran into some guy who was like "HEY MISA! Hey, did you see that DN video at the AMV contest? Wait you made that?? I think I was the only one in my group of people that TOTALLY LOVED IT." So I guess you either love it or you hate it - it's too long to have an in-between. If you're mostly indifferent but leaning one way, you'll lean more and more that way as time passes.
I'm just glad it made the finals - I remember seeing the thing that said even though there's no time limit, they reserved the right to stop watching after six minutes... and I was like "damn, my best stuff is after the six minute mark." I was honestly surprised it held attention long enough to make the finals.
Next year, though, I swear to GOD I will do something other than DN. If I enter next year, that is... I may be rather caught up with wedding things around that time.
Maybe I'll make a parody of "this is the formula for a surefire-win multi-anime comedy video" because I'm noticing there totally is one. I should get on that. ;D
