What is m2t?

It's a type of MPEG-2 Transport Stream typically used for Blu-ray discs. A lot of the new video encoding software (including Adobe Media Encoder) by default put MPEG-2 encodes into this container (as it support PCM audio and PCM audio is typically the default as well). The file in question simply needs to be put into a new container (unless it's not the right resolution or the video is encoded as h.264).

Oh, the contest is on for sure.
I don't have an exact count but know we had 30-40 entries last week with more on the way.
The finalist screening will happen very soon so good luck to you all!

Don't take this as the contest not being competitive.
On the contrary, we have an abundance of entries for Action, Upbeat, and Drama.
I'm baffled as to why people are shying away from Comedy in recent years.
Anyway, get on it!

I think it is similar to what happens to a few stand up comedians or character actors. Comedy gets a lot of direct and easily recognizable responses. Evoking the emotion is not easy but confirming it happened is easier compared to other feelings. After people feel solid that they can make people laugh, they move on to do more subtle work. Some just to know they can and others because they feel confined in the world of comedy. That wish to prove they are more than a one-trick pony.

Since a lot of the old guard has moved on and we have been building new talent in the last half or so decade some of the new comedy mainstays are trying to shift into other categories to test their mettle. So now we are left with a call to arms for the community to fill in the demand.

I think it's that comedy is really hard to do...or at least hard to do WELL.
Although I am now somewhat kicking myself for making a new upbeat video, figuring most contests have been lacking in upbeat recently, instead of submitting the comedy video I was originally planning on. lol
