Sometimes we're so dead tired that we don't always get the opportunity to remind you guys.
But, Thank you all so much for participating in AWA's video art contests.
We try our best to showcase the neatness of our particular hobby in the most favorable light we know how, but without you guys submitting it'd be a much smaller room with a tiny stereo...
I would like all the entrants to know, over the years we've sacrificed many audio visual component to the gods that be after they proved unworthy. This year was no exception, as some of you may have seen the Seeles opened up and their subwoofers breaking the 'no smoking' indoors ordinance in Georgia.
Dr Wagner will make his posts as soon as he gets over his con funk
.
But I'd like to go ahead and dish out some other thanks as well on behalf of the VAT.
-Carl is one of our staffers who you all went through for your online accounts and for mastering/rendering issues to make sure they played as good as possible. His pre-con workload laid the foundation for this year's effectiveness.
-Thad AKA Coderjoe comes down to AWA from MI and he doesn't just staff the VAT, he is all over the convention on setup Thursday moving those subwoofers, and on Sunday tear-down putting them away. The Billy Gibbons impersonator is a major chunk of what goes into AWA as a whole as well as the VAT.
-Vlad says he treats AWA like a relax time from the other shows he works, expecting to come down and watch how other people work, but he ends up laying in some hours putting together things as well, and his help is always looked upon highly.
-the whole Iron Chef crew for having what seemed like the smoothest event evar this year. Hey, the less I have to do, the better. ;p
-The EXPO judging crowd which consists of a mishmash of non anime fans, general staff, and anyone else we can get to sit in front of these videos with the VAT staff and watch each and every one of them.
-AMV Hell 4, for sharing the premier with us and packing the heck out of our room
twice.
And all of you who attended, paneled, and generally came to the room to hang and laugh at me and my hats. You all rule.
