Assuming the remaining laggard judges send in their ballots soon, Vlad and I will have the preliminary results on Sunday night. There's still some final vetting to be done (for instance, we do a more thorough check to make sure the selected finalists conform with the freshness rule, among other things), but if we get that done quickly enough, we might announce then... ...or we might announce later.

I really don't think I have a shot at getting in but I'd rather know before I go on vacation.

You never know. I find that people's tastes can be quite surprising. Heck, there's several vids in this year's batch that I thought would be sure fire best of show candidates, and yet the judge results so far seem to be revealing that I have bad taste. (SakuraCon was the same way...)

Oh, and in case I hadn't mentioned, we've got practically an all-star cast of judges this year. It's up to them if they want to reveal themselves, but most of them of them are either an award winning AMV veteran (non-competing) or a coordinator of a respected AMV competition.
(The others are homeless dudes I bribed with a bottle of Wild Turkey and a VHS copy of LA Blue Girl.).

He likes the ones with good compression, proper AR, no fansubs or watermarks and aren't in a .wmv container.
