How do they know if you're a creator or not? Do I just say I'm the brokenmetronome? How do they prove or check it?
Either A: I get two tickets.
B: They tell me I showed up too early/late and that my timing is wrong.

In years past, if you entered a video into the contest, they should have your entry form and will look for it when you ask.

I dunno how it will be handled this year.

Didn't you get the info? This year you need to send in your index finger so we can do a DNA test on site to ensure it's you

I just noticed an email that they are offering online tickets so people can pick their own seating at the AMV show. I immediately pulled up the indicated page, but it says "Online sales are now closed. Tickets will be available onsite on Saturday, June 30th, for all attendees at the Main Events Ticketing Booth. Thank you and see you at the Convention!" Did they run out of online tickets in an hour (in the middle of the night, no less!), or were they never actually available?

As of that message, all seats are booked solid. Not a seat left in the house. Woooo AMVs!




Just kidding. In any case, the message is a bit odd. June 30th is a day late for AMVs. Secondly, AMV tickets shouldn't even be available at all yet. Here's the word from the manager of ticketing:

"Tickets for AMVs are simply not distributed until the day of the event as people will always claim free stuff even if they have no intention of using it. This is as normal for every year that current ticketing has been in existence."

As for creator tickets, I've been comfortably assured that there's a decent number of them set aside.

Simple. I'll have a list of names. If your name is on the list (and I'll be checking ID), you get a ticket. If not, you don't. Also, I'll be sending out an email in the next few days with information on how to get your tickets. If you receive that email, you're obviously on the list.
