I poked Michael regarding the finalists list. The answer is this:

(300+ videos) * (15+ judges) = Really long time to tabulate scores. We have way more vids and a few more judges than last year, both of which makes tabulation more time consuming.

His significant other has kindly been doing the tabulation and is 3/4ths done. Michael apologizes for the delay and would have dropped by here to say so himself but a green haired monster kidnapped him and is doing naughty things with him. j/k
