I'd heard about that. I have no problem with being reclassified. I'm just happy I made it. And honestly, I really wasn't 100% sure where to put it, so I just put it where my beta testers suggested. It's just makes me giggle a bit. *^_^* (That and it being on a slightly different place on the list than I was originally looking.

I will look into confirming the date. GeneStarwind21122's post entitled "AMA 2008 Official Contest Results" is dated March 1st, 2008. Were the winners chosen before the con? If not, and the con was on this date, my sincerest apologies to jubjub2 for DQing her. Her video did score high enough to get in the contest so if everything checks out, I will extend the length of the contest to include her on the ballot, making 5 videos in upbeat now.

From the list of finalists it looks like it will be a great contest. Congrats to all! Wish I could be there for it...

Not to re-ignite the whole category issue but how did -Reda-'s entry get classified as a trailer?

If that was the undecided one, then it's because that category isn't just Trailer, but Trailer<i>/Parody</i> (I believe; for some reason the categories aren't even listed in the contest rules, and the entry form is no longer accessible).

-Reda-'s entry is a re-created TV opening, and everyone at the screening was in agreement that such a thing is really no different from a movie trailer. The reason the category exists in the first place is because lots of trailers aren't even meant to be funny, but everyone laughs at them anyways. The category is sort of a safe haven so that these videos can be judged fairly against their own kind, and -Reda-'s entry fits the bill perfectly.
