Heard the results, totally wished I had my Otakon video ready before the AX deadline, would have totally had a better shot with one good video instead of two mediocre ones, lol...
Anyways, congrats to the winners, someone will post them soon I'm sure.

I could not confirm them since I heard the results through the grape vine. I also did not know them all so I did not want to post an incomplete list.drewaconclusion wrote:Well, that surely keeps people in suspense.

Re: Anime Expo 2012 AMV Contest - FINALISTS ANNOUNCED!!!
Overall I think it was a great show; I think Troy did a mostly excellent job his first-time hosting. There were a lot of awesome videos; I had a hell of a time choosing a favorite among the Action entries, and Comedy and Fun also made me work hard to decide on the best.
In previous years I absolutely hated Concourse hall, but this year I actually liked it in comparison to Hall G. In Hall G, the lights were left on, the acoustics are absolutely terrible, and there were only two screens. The Concourse hall has three screens, was louder, and has better acoustics (no treble-y echo throwing off the timing), but still has the significant problem that the screens are too low and people in the back can't see the bottom. At least this year it didn't affect me, sitting in the Creators' area.
I don't think the Creators' favorite revote was a good idea; nobody was happy about that and since Troy indicated a stalemate would go to the audience anyway, forcing an awkward confrontation seemed pointless. Personally I think in the future if there is a Creators' draw and the other two categories stalemate the audience vote should win by default.

Thanks, glad you liked it, but it's not my best work. It was a quickly tossed together video for Animazement (and their submission form didn't get it to them... )Cyrix wrote:C'mon, Sorry For Being Hercule was brilliant!
