Nice, always fun for those in attendance to win. Congrats to the winners, and away good to see those in attendance happily showing off their awards ! Also...glad to see you went back to more classy looking trophies Deuce...the ones from last year were hideous, lol...

Agreed.
None of that was my choice.
They wouldn't tell me if this year's awards were being custom-made or ordered so I was pleasantly surprised to open the box and find all those shiny acrylics...aka "Crystal Katsu."
I think perhaps the cost of the venue for the first two years caused a few cutbacks but, since the past two years of massive growth, we can afford to go fancy again.

...or should I say
Yeah, I was never too enthused about the "Moon Ninjas."
Especially when it came time to ship them, awkward things that they were.
I think we won't have to worry about unsightly trophies anymore.

Those trophies look amazing. Now I am going to have to wait outside at my mailbox for the next 4 to 6 weeks and it is cold outside. Whatever Hypothermia is not that bad, right guys?

Re: KATSUCON 19 AMV cntest: CLOSED TO NEW SUBMISSIONS
If I remember correctly, you were told that the contest could not be in Main Events this year, but you never told me. I only found out via David and Christian when I was finalizing my Video Room schedule 2 weeks before the Con. If you had told me, I would have made sure I accommodated the Saturday showing in a much bigger room than it did.Deuce Loosely wrote:I wish I had more control over how they schedule these things.

Re: KATSUCON 19 AMV cntest: CLOSED TO NEW SUBMISSIONS
Quite frankly, it should be the other way around. If you *DO* want to know how your entry fared, you should let Deuce know. It doesn't matter to post the exact vote count - first (and second) places are what usually matter to editors.Deuce Loosely wrote: If you DO NOT wanna know how your video fared, for better or worse, please say so here.
Otherwise, I'll be posting the official count sometime this week.

I'm rather interested to know how mine fared. Or if you were there what the reaction was. I had the Poor Unfortunate Shoujo one.
