And to even out the self-whoring, some pimpage of videos that don't seem to be getting much talk :-/.

I was thoroughly impressed by your video. This makes three cons in a row that I've been impressed by one of your videos (AWA - Overdrive, ACen - Kiddy Grade and now this). Perhaps I should keep you in my radar
.
In any case, your video was very well done. Specifically it was very tightly edited. You rarely missed a dominant beat or rhythm and the video was very dynamic and active. Sadly you were in (debateably) the most competitive category (imo) and thus it was hard to choose a winner.
regardless.

Honestly.. I didn't know what category it should be in because I didn't think it fit any of them.. So I left it to the contest. My last video at Otakon got moved it to Action/Upbeat by the contest and offended maboroshi .. Will I never learn...
Actually after watching your video a number of times, it's starting to really grow on me. I'll be honest that the first time I saw it (during the afternoon screening), I didn't like it that much. I saw that the editing was good, but well...perhaps I'm just negatively biased to game music videos. I also think a % of this was the crowd cheering just to the titlecard (i.e. seeing "FFX") prior to the video even playing.
Now that I'm home, I've watched it more and specifically, listened to the song A LOT. You can thank Ashyukun for that. I'd say about 7 of us are now addicted to this song bc of him (and you)
. On top of that, I now see what you were going for. Although it's not a "sappy" video, I can see why the audience would vote for it. It feels like a "real" music video with singing, dancing, etc. I guess what I mean is that I could see something like this on MTV
.
...and did I mention the song? ARGH I'm listening to it at work again for like the 7th time >_<.
BTW it was humorous that your video was right before mine. People thought we were either A) the same person or B) related. -_-;;
