Ohayocon 2018 - AMV League Contest -- RESULTS POSTED!

Ohayocon 2018's AMV contest will be an AMV League Official Qualifying Event!

You may submit your videos to one of three categories:
• Action
• Drama
• Fun/Upbeat

The highest scoring video in each category will be designated Best in Category and move on to compete in the AMV League National Championships. The highest scoring overall video that does not win Best in Category will be designated Honorable Mention and will compete in the Nationals as well.

Prizes:
Each Best in Category winner will receive a $10 Amazon e-Gift Card!
The Honorable Mention winner will receive a $5 Amazon e-Gift Card!

Deadline is 11:59 PM Eastern Time - Wednesday, January 17, 2018.

We just finished judging a record FORTY-NINE entries for Ohayocon. Y'all seriously came through here.

We are very tired now and will get the finalist announcement video up soon. We've got a TWO HOUR block to show vids at Ohayocon, so we'll probably be able to screen most of 'em.

Holy COW, this was one hell of a contest! But only four videos could stand above the rest!

AlbinoPlant spins together a combination that shouldn't work... but does AMAZINGLY, while rewriting the story of Mob Psycho 100.
Vhenrik proves that you CAN make an award-winning video from a series as overedited as Your Lie in April.
DopplerDo does the unprecedented by winning two subsequent contests - with the same anime!
and SOGESNAKE walks away with Honorable Mention by setting a mediocre anime that like six people watched all the way through to a bluegrass cover of a 50 Cent song - and getting said song still stuck in our head days later.

A reminder that any video that wasn't shown at Ohayocon CAN be resubmitted to a future contest. I'll be getting in touch with the four winners within the next few days to send y'all your Amazon Gift Cards. Another congratulations to everyone who entered!
