Escaflowne: The Movie Official Soundtrack
(Now... I have a duplicate of this OST.. I have the OST that came with the ultimate edition box of the movie... It comes in a DVD case with the CD and a small insert with lyrics. This CD has never been played, however it is part of the 3 DVD set of the ultimate edition box, leaving things to be wanted. I also have[but cannot find at the moment] the import of the OST. It has a small crack on the cover and comes with a booklet of pictures and I believe an interview as well as some lyrics. None of the songs' names are translated and the CD has been played multiple times. It probably has scratches on it. I'm emotionally attached to the import
but should you want enough I could give it over...)There's nothing soecial about the ultimate prize as there will only be ONE winner for the contest. I just named it the ultimate prize since, well... I figured everyone would want that more than anything else. =p
ANYWAY. Onward.
RULES!
- You must use DVD footage
- You must use the song provided
- You CANNOT, under ANY circumstances, use the anime "Pokemon".
Even using ONE frame will get you disqualified. Superimposing something will get you disqualified. There is ZERO TOLERANCE for Pokemon.
- Subs, unless put there purposefully, will get you disqualified
- You may edit the song, but it MUST remain at LEAST three minutes in length.
- You must Lip synch. Yes, I know, it's horrible. You don't have to lip synch the whole thing, but you must incorporate lip synching SOMEHOW.
- This contest wasn't made for humor videos, but you probably don't have any ideas for anything else... But, if you can get around it, TRY(try) and make it a serious AMV. Again, you don't have to. But try.
- Deadline, as of now is undecided, but WILL be before September.
I want to TRY to get these to play at AWA 10, if I can figure something out. =p
- You can NOT show betas/completed works to people outside the contest.
- you CAN enter the video into the database, as long as a link is NOT provided until a specific date for voting(TBA).
- your final submition to me can be of any format EXCEPT Real Media and Quicktime(however you should keep a huffy on your Harddrive for later use/submition to cons etc.).
- You CAN work in teams of up to FOUR(such as your studio or just friends).

How the winner is decided!
After the deadline has passed, you must host your video... Whether it be Tripod, the donut, or your own server.
Once that's done, a thread will be created in either General AMV(probably) or here.
All links will be posted in the thread, and then people must post with their votes. There are no polls. No emails or PMs. Just posts saying who you vote for. Participants can not vote.
Voting rules will be ironed out later, but this is the jist.
After a specific number of votes and/or a certain timeframe(whichever comes first, I guess) voting will be closed, and whoever has the most votes for the best AMV wins and gets to select their Prize(s).
Voting will be based on:
- incorporation of lip synch
- how well the footage matches/blends with the music
- editing synch
- video quality(audio will not be judged)
- story(if any)
- reviewability

I hope there will be some competitors, as this is my first contest I'm hosting, and um... Stuff. Yes.
