Did anybody attend Yaoi con? What were the results of the contest?

The contest was really good this year. So many really good videos.

I knew I had no hope of winning because I split my votes. But the reaction my video got made me sooo happy. It's amazing to have an audience laughing their ass off, and then the room goes dead silent when the drama hits. Then you have comedy again, and they just arn't sure what to do. hehehehe. As someone said...when the Baka Deshi Productions logo comes up, they don't know what to expect, they just know the video will be on crack.

The only slight problem I know of is that several AMV creators were heard to be coughing *Troll* when the Hellsing video won best action. We just hope he enjoys his bag of Yaoi.

Well if you care to know, that video gave me nightmares the moment that I saw it O_o So if you want to count that as an honorable mention then knock yourself out.

Also, to anybody who was at the con, I promised somebody to send them a pic of the outfit I was wearing for the con but I forgot about it so while I doubt anyone has a picture please tell me if you do so I can do as such.

This was my first yaoi con. I must admitt that yaoi fans have some of the best vids I ever seen
They work their butts off
They did a great job
cant wait to see what u guys do next year

What's even more amazing is to learn how many of the videos were people's 'first time' videos.

I know the two Comedy Yu Yu hakusho videos, by Estalle (or something like that), were her first videos.

I also know the Faces of Dr. Muraki video was Mie'Aga's first video.

And just because I'm bitter over not getting credit from Yaoi-Con:
This video was a collaboration between WTF Productions and C&C Productions.

Well, okay, to be precise, it was a collaboration between my wife (Kasra_WTF of WTF Productions) and me (Freeptop of C&C Productions), but still, it's the principle of the matter...

(Note: I'm not really all that bitter, I'm more amused

)

As a side note, while Kasra has done several other AMVs, this is only my second one. Both Kasra and I were amazed that we won Best Drama, and are really honored to receive it.
