The rules for the JACON 2005 AMV Contest are now up. This year, with the help of Jingoro, we have a dedicated Video Arts Track for creators and fans of AMV's and othe Fan Produced work. Drop by www.JACON.org and see our new location and guests, for what will probably be JACON's biggest year.

Frame rate 29.97 minimum? That's very odd.

I understand wanting to have decent framerates but many progressive movies, such as Mononoke, are released in 24 FPS.

What if you encode an MPEG-2 at 23.976 but set the 3:2 pulldown upon playback flag?
