Otakon AMV: Deadline update
Antonio Jimenez, Contest Coordinator for the 2005 Otakon AMV Contest
here. Let me just start by saying I'm glad so many of you emailed me
to chime in on the deadline issue. Now this is my first year running the
event and I had to hit the ground running so there have been some
difficulties and delays along the way, which you guys know a bit about.
I do want this year to be a great contest. I want to make sure that our
delays and internal difficulties don't accidentally prevent anyone from
submitting. I would like to have as many submissions as possible so
we can put together another great screening at Otakon 2005.
At this time I'd like to announce that I am extending the submission
deadline to June 1, 2005.
I hope this will allow those people who are on the verge of completing
their projects or who have had problems because of the delay in
announcing the original deadline to have enough time to finalize their
creations and send me the end results. On my earlier posting I spoke
about how I was helped in picking a deadline that would grant me the
time I needed to make the contest come together, now that I have
this "formula" I can assure you next year I will be able to post a
deadline much earlier on! Please note that all other requirements for
submission remain the same, and only the date by which the submission
must be received has been changed.
Lets work together to make this year great! I look forward to all your
entries and to seeing you at Otakon 2005!

Oh my God, THANK YOU! You have no idea. I'm in the middle of a MAJOR encoding dilemma, and an extension may just let me get the thing exported in time.

Zae : This year we don't have FTP available for submission, if you want to send in your video the PO BOx info can be found at www.Otakon.com
and as long as your video didn't win before otakon then it should be OK.
