Otakon Baltimore Area prescreenings (schedule change)

Post by hackerzc » Sat Jul 09, 2005 4:51 pm

Due to the number of submissions we received this year, I have concluded that it will only take one more review day to finish watching and rating all entries. Because of this I will be canceling the last two prescreening days (as they would only be repeating the same entries again for the same group of people).

This means that Saturday July 16th will be the final Baltimore Prescreening day.

Well, 4 hours really. The rest of the time was for breaks and lunch.
Let me think...10-4... only 6 hours. I could have sworn we had more than 2 hours of breaks.... *shrug*

Lunch worked out well this year though. Not sure we will be doing the same thing again next week... need to hear back from Antonio to see if it's ok.

Oh and nice to see you got home ok.

Only 8 hours total of submissions? If my math is right that's even less than 2003...

Yeah, only 111 submissions this year. Mostly due to not having FTP this year, I'm sure. (not really in the mood to discuss other factors from last year that may or may not have contributed)

At least you're willing to admit to it. That's more than many people/organizations would do. :)
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

Well from what I keep hearing, this should be top knotch compared to last years. I can't wait to see all the kick ass new amvs. It seems that the crowd favorite is always comedy, but hopfully that'll change.

Yep me too. I have to wait to see the second half, but out of the first half one video really did stand out alot. And well I willn't mention which one it is. Just have to wait for Otakon to see if it is true for the action category. Comedy is turning out really good this year, so is the Drama and Upbeat. Romance there are some good videos there as well.

Well good luck to every body. Otakon is just right around the corner.
