The End Times are Upon Us! (AWA Expo & SAST)

Seriously, I'll shut up soon and stop posting all over the contests forum.

For those who don't know, today is the scheduled final deadline for Expo and SAST entries! This means if you want in on the contest, you need to get us the info on your video and request your FTPs today!

In truth, the Expo contest is being extended just a few days more. FTP requests will be available for the Expo contest until tuesday. This is intended to catch all those people who wait till the last minute and don't quite make it under the wire. We'd really, really prefer that everyone get their requests (and as many of the actual uploads) in before midnight tonight, but the reality of the situation tells us there will always be a few stragglers, and it's easier to just tack a few extra days on to catch 'em all instead of having to give permission to each one individually.

SAST, however, will be closing tonight. I'd like to thank everyone for making it a spectacularly popular first-time contest. We can't stretch the deadline out any further, though, because we're in serious danger of going way over our time-limit on the schedule!

So, you're saying if I upload the txt with the info tonight, I still have a little more time to smooth out a few rough edges in places and upload it tomorrow instead? (I'll try to get everything sorted out as soon as possible of course)

Holy crap - I just started my upload and, if the ftp account ID's work the way I think they do, there are at least 359 submissions to Expo so far.

Nah... there are a lot of "retrys" that got into the system. You're off by over a hundred.

Just to be sure, the midnight est deadline for SAST is just to get the FTP requests in, right?

I should still have time to finish them up,even though the contest ends in a few minutes? Is this right?

A little while (few days), yes, until the FTP accounts expire.
