Tekkoshocon 2007 AMV Contest

Post by Illia Sadri » Mon Nov 06, 2006 10:11 pm

It's getting cold outside so apparantly it means time to prepare for the winter and spring amv contest lineup. Or more specifically, i realized I hadn't done so yet and was being lazy.

Rules for Tekkoshocon V's contest are posted at http://www.tekkoshocon.com/amvrules.html and I can field any questions or concerns in this thread or on the Tekko forums. The deadline is going to be at the beginning of March and based on how many entries were received last year, I cannot count on a deadline extention. So if you have an idea, might be good to get started soon.

Last year we had an incredibly good lineup and I am looking forward to what ends up being turned in this year.

so: I assume that there isn't a rule about being present, right?

also when it comes to prices I miss the inclusion in the description. are there even some?

but either way I'll enter, given that the time minimum is at 0.30 mine I will be able to compete...

Yes we have prizes and if you read the rules I have no requirement on attendance. And the time minimum is not a huge deal except it is mostly there so people don't submit what is essencially a blipvert.

Edit: and since I got an e-mail already.... yes we have ftp. I have to ask that people click the link to the rules and thoroughly read.the requirements.

I was having problems with the E-mail provided on the rules page. Yahoo kept returning a dilevery failure message. I'm not sure if it is me or not, but be sure to check that out. I sent the e-mail using the one provided in the contacts section of the site.

I got yours on the third attempt it appears. no clue as to what happened on the previous attempts. Login information should be in your email now. If there is still a problem I will go into the other email (they just made it so I have not gotten into the habit of using it yet.)

Awesomeness. ftp info is sent. You should be able to upload without issue tonight.

By the way, you guys are awesome for getting entries in this early. It makes things so nice on me. Last year I had 76 entries, and about 40 of them came within the last week. So any early submissions makes it easier in the end.

And I know all about entering vids that are unannounced... I still haven't gotten Beyond Dreams up despite it having been entered in a few contests already. Go figure.

Actually, I just finished my latest AMV (as stated earlier), and I think that it's contest worthy. I've been the better part of this month putting it together, and I wanted to enter it in a few contests before announcing it. I'm entering it here and at SakuraCon. Attending neither

Eh that's fine. I don't require attendance. Mostly interested in having a good and entertaining contest for the attendees. that is what matters.
