Need Help Choosing AMV Contests
I need help finding
1) conventions with AMV contests held in or near Portland, Oregon
and/or
2) contests which don't require you to be there in person in order to win.
I'm not asking you to do a massive search or anything, but it would save me a lot of time if anybody knows any right offhand.
Thanks!

I didn't say it was impossible, just that I liked the automatic assumption that this person specifically will do it.Scintilla wrote:Uh, I believe Michael Zubrzycki (Editing Hermit) did just that in 2005.godix wrote:I like the assumption that a person who's never uploaded a single video is going to win at a con.

The only one in the city listed on that page is Kumoricon, and I can't even tell they have a contest based on their home page.
I can't think of any that require you to be there, but check the rules of the con you're interested in.2) contests which don't require you to be there in person in order to win.

I remember JACON a few years back requiring that you be registered for the con, and I believe AX won't ship awards. Dunno about any others.dokidoki wrote:I can't think of any that require you to be there, but check the rules of the con you're interested in.2) contests which don't require you to be there in person in order to win.

anime Witcheta (or however its spelled) is requiring you to be there to win, but i think thats cause last year's winners were all people who didnt show upScintilla wrote:I remember JACON a few years back requiring that you be registered for the con, and I believe AX won't ship awards.
