Welcome to the first round of the 2008 Judge's Choice Awards. Please visit the link for more information. This will run from 1/14 through 1/26.
In this round, audience participation is necessary.
Please nominate a judge who you think would be best suited to be on the panel for this year's JCA by posting their name (limited to 2 per person). People are also allowed to nominate themselves. However, please remember that this is not the time for promotion, neither self or others - this can be done on the next round. All people that are nominated will be considered to move onto the next round of judge selection, so please nominate a great variety of editors - there's no need to nominate an editor more than once. *Update* As it stands, there are plenty of possible participating nominees, Please do not nominate anyone just for the sake of nominating or participating anymore, unless you really feel that they would make a good judge and stand to win in the forum poll of the next round. At the end(duration) of this round, the considered nominees will be contacted by me and asked if they would like to and are able to participate in the JCA. Those who are able to, will then be eligible to be selected by the audience in the second round, judge selection. If you nominate yourself, it will be assumed that you are willing to participate and judge, if selected to be part of the panel of judges.
Judge Nomination/Selection Guidelines
Just a few guidelines that should be taken into consideration when nominating a judge.
- Has been around to have seen a large amount and a wide variety of videos.
- Not inclined to judge videos due to its sources and or editor that created such videos. (More likely to judge based on editing and overall composition as opposed to individual sources)
- Hates (likes) everyone equally.
- Would commit time and effort into judging all videos equally.
- Good amount of technical knowledge – ie: knowledge of many editing programs/techniques and having/maintaining good visual/aural quality in videos.
- *Likes to party, in bed.
