I recently saw a CD of Mozart piano sonatas, and one was listed as #575. And that's JUST PIANO SONATAS! :p
This music sounds more baroque to me, anyway. Could be Bach or Scarlatti or just about anyone.
My advice would be to go ask here on AllExperts.com I see there's at least one guy listed who offers to try to identify classical music from that era.
But it may be difficult, because a lot of baroque musicans would re-use certain favorite 'riffs' over and over again. I once downloaded midis of a hundred of Scarlatti works, trying to find the ONE I have a partial tape of and it seemed like half of them began the exact same way.
