I see it as the difference between someone asking for books you've stacked up to read or show others, and someone asking for books because they want to make a little "book fort" out in the woods.

Why these shouldn't be suggested? Since I already know these bands and I already like their music.
Based on that, there's Circle of Dust, Klank, Level, Argyle Park, and AP2, among others - all of which had some amount of involvement from Klayton/Klay Scott/Scott Albert/whatever-moniker-he-was-using-at-the-time (Circle of Dust being his major project before Celldweller, the others at various times, but predominantly in the 90s or early 00s).

All those bands can be sampled from various sources, most visibly the nexus around Flaming Fish Music (record label/zine publisher/forum boards/etc.) and ChristianIndustrial.net (streaming radio).

Indeed. but for the sound you're looking for.. more or less just stick with anything other then their newest album (The one with Miss murder on it)

Good albums from them are

"Very proud of ya"
A few good songs from "shut your mouth and open your eyes"
"Sing the sorrow" Has quite a few good ones on it to.

But their newest stuff isn't nearly as good as older IMO

My bro just brought midnight juggernaut's Dystopia album, alternative cross, jazzy electronica/rythmic techno..

It's not all that bad, I think I enjoy it mostly because the bass player is practically playing every blues scale and then warping the shit out of it with some distortion pedals :)

How about "My Chemical Romance"? That's a good one. The "Black Mages" are good, too, if you're a Final Fantasy fan...
"Suffer the little ones, for they may yet rise up and beat you seenseless." Druid's Call, from Magic: The Gathering

Sleeping at Last <-- They're a Christian rock band.

Was Radiohead mentioned already? And what about Tool and Hurt? They're alternative/prog metal though..
