Hi from Jedinovice!
Hi! Greeting to one and all.
I have just joined up so I should introduce myself. I post as 'Jedinovice' but my Youtube site is 'Jedipadawan.'
https://www.youtube.com/dashboard?o=U
[This is because I did have a 'Jedinovice' site but youtube went all gmail on me and I could no longer log onto my account. It still exists. I can't close it down! So I went up a Jedi level!]
I edit in my spare time - which is in short supply these days, alas, - and I hope to get an anime club running ext year. Again, work precluded that this year. Long story. But we have hired more staff and I hope I see light at the end of the tunnel.
For editing, I use... Linux! Yes, that automatically assumed to be really to hard to use, geek-only operating system used be, er, geeks. Actually, modern Linux is much, much nicer than Windows and I glad I jumped. I used Kdenlive under Mint Linux which is great as…
1) It is completely free
2) I get all upgrades free
3) It is a proper, multi-track, timeline based video editor
4) It is extremely logical and easy to use
5) It stacked with transitionals and effects
6) It is written carefully to run on just about anything! I have edited video using a 1GHz AMD c50! It was painful but possible.
Here is an example of what I do and what Kdenlive can do:

Cheers!
