I do leave almost every sort of music room on me, and Floyd is definitely not running out of room yet... So, I'll be sure to listen more sometime.
As for Crimson - it's not so much the lineup changes as the music changes that are important. The 4 must-know-to-know KC albums BTW -
1) ITCOTKC (1969); 2) Red (1974) 3) Discipline (1981) 4) The Power To Believe (2003).
Generally, these best help form a mostly-objective view of Krim past and present.
As for Tool - well, from what I've listened to (half of Aenima and half of Lateralus) - two songs from each album that really stood out on me, so I suppose that's a definite (but eventual) buy.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I recently got into Neil Young and he has quickly become one of favorite artist. "Everyone Knows this is Nowhere", "After the Gold Rush", and "Rust Never Sleeps" are three albums that one who is into classic rock should checkout, although anyone into classic rock has most likely already heard those three albums.[/i]

Neil Young is a staple classic rock artist up here in canada. Too bad he's such an ass hole. Every now and then he'd go play guitar foa a few hours in toronto subway stations with a closed guitar case, but people still tossed money to him. I don't know, but i think he left the money behind. Usualy if somone tired to talk to him though he'd bite their heads off ... so thats not very cool. BUt then again the whole time he was palying he'd be surrounded by people.

Neil is just Neil.... he's an incredible guy but he's just himself, which can be a bitch sometimes. It's like Ikari Gendo.
Uhh anyway, I absolutely love Neil Young. He's a genius as far as music goes. Anyone heard his new album? I have it (Greendale) and it's brilliant too. It's a rock opera, with Crazy Horse, all of it is electric accept for 1 track, but as soon as he finished recording the album (before last Summer0 he went on the road to tour Europe, and he did the entire thing as a solo acoustic peice every show!
I agree Shake, about those 3 albums. Everybody Knows This is Nowhere is by far my favorite. But really he's got so much stuff (about 40 albums) there's something there for everybody. Albums like On The Beach are right up there with stuff like After the Goldrush.
Keep on rockin in the free world.

I picked up Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii today. Wow is all I've gotta say. It was definitly made in the 70's, shall we say....Good stuff though.

I've been meaning to get "On the Beach" for sometime now, people have told me that its a good album. Really the only Neil Young albums that i've heard aren't that good is the stuff he did in the ealry and mid 80's. One album from 1983 (i think) "Trans" is supposed to be an odd mix of Neil Young, Karftwerk & Devo that doesn't work.

Yep pro, but it's good stuff none-the-less. Especailly if your station is cool and plays stuff like Down By The River, Cowgirl in the Sand, Powderfinger, and This Note's For You.
Seems like there are a few Zep fans here
