if you like to hear local bands, i think you can go to http://www.wrif.com
and listen to their online radio station at 10:00 PM eastern time. The whole show is dedicated to local bands of Detriot, Michigan.
Im not all too sure it will work though as i never tried to do it myslef... i just turn my radio on.

There are some wonderfully talented bands in the local area, but I'm biased seeing as they are from this area as compared to the bands from several miles south of here, which some people think are very cool, but which i think is junk. they suck, 'cause they're on the wrong side of the town, them rich people.
it's all relative, but sure, there are some talented bands in the area with plenty of potential. and now that a very cool guy has set up a low-cost local music centered station, i'm enjoying more of the local bands than i have ever since i started listening to local bands.

They're not local (I don't live in Belgium), but Vae Victis is worth a listen. Especially as I can't really describe them. There's a bunch of death metal influence, and some chamber music, and I think quite a bit of Ritalin withdrawal.
Here's the outro from their sole release so far. It's a small download, and will prove very interesting if it doesn't totally scramble your brain.
[note to mods: this track is freely available on Lugburz, as linked above. It is temporarily hosted on my own bandwidth because theirs is a tad unreliable. Vae Victis are unsigned and not likely to ever be signed to a RIAA label. Thank you for not editing this post.]

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

Back what I was at Iowa, there was this really good metal band that was local but I forgot their name... it's funny though, because right after the show someone approached them about being signed. Not sure if they took the deal or not, but they do deserve one.
OMG! The mods normalified the small text!Lyrs wrote:[meant to be taken with bytes of digital salt]
