It never be played on the radio!
I was listening to pink fylod the other day and my brother says, "Don't you ever listen to anything else!" It occured to me that I've been listening to the same music since highschool. I'm 24 by the way. I basiclly listen to anything that is played on the radio. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix this stuff gets tons of air play. But my brother listens to stuff like The Bens, plus minus, the raveonettes and Tom Waits. None of these bands get any airplay other than maybe college radio.
My question to you all is: What do you listen to that gets NO air play in America? Do you listen old time Jazz or French puck band or Christian Rock or Reggae? My diseased brain wants to know.

I listen to Industrial, J-Rock/Pop, and pre-1994 alternative (a lot of post-punk and Goth rock, mainly) most of the time, so trying to find a radio station is quite tough. The Industrial any typical station might play is Nine Inch Nails or Stabbing Westward occasionally, if it's alternative music from before 1994, one or two might pop through every once in a while on an alt. rock station's playlist, and I don't know any station that plays Japanese music. Aside from the J-Rock/Pop, one of the stations in my area has an old-school alternative program on Sunday nights that really got me into that section of music, but I've got a lot of stuff they've never even played, so it's about 50/50.
Thank goodness for previews that show the latest posts

The Clash (again, ditto)
The Cruxshadows

X-Japan
Lacuna Coil
Celldweller

The lunch program is also an old-school alternative show. It's on right now.

I mentioned that because they have a streaming audio broadcast over the internet.

Well...
I could even just start with King Crimson. I think there's only a couple of friendly stations in America that have programs that feature their music. Other than that... it's pretty obvious. Most of their material is well over 6 minutes a piece, to top it - it's instrumental, and just not 'normal' as far as regular FM material goes.
Plus, there's good reasons to assume music corporations hate Robert Fripp, their founding member.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
