own music for AMV ?

Post by Soulprayer » Mon Jun 28, 2004 3:50 pm

Hi,

i am thinking about using my own music for an AMV,
but nevertheless i am still amateur of making music.

So i want to ask:
should i put my own (perhaps bad or bothering) music into the AMV or should i use original music, that (perhaps) anybody know ?

thanks
Greetz

This video is not for the weak of heart, and I suggest that no afro-americans view it unless they are prepared to be insulted.
thanks for the warning :?

Actually Outlaw Productions and I had the same idea we are already right some songs. So hopefully one day well get our own music out there. Just for fun or torment which everyone we get more pleasure of.

I think using your own music is a great idea. It would be totally original, plus, you can share another one of your talents with everyone. I say go for it - let me know when you finish, ok?

I agree. Go for it!

Be prepared for a lot more moronic feedback than you usually get though. (i.e. "This sucks" with no further explainations) Those people either don't like your type of music and have a hard time conceding that some people just have different tastes, or else they went in with unreasonable expectations and got disappointed (since you say you're still an anateur). This is something you'll face when you put yourself out there, whether it's in an AMV or some other format. But remember that there are people who will genuinely appreciate your work too.

So I say ignore the morons, and do it anyway! :)

Will you be using midi and soft-synths or will it be a recording of your band or you playing? I'm in a band but we play Punk/Emo so does anyone know of any AMV's that any similar bands have made with their material?

BTW if anyone is interested in me band you can visit www.smudge.tk for info, there's a new site gonna be uploaded soon too with music downloads so keep checkin back.
