For specific tracks you might not have thought of or heard:
Sage Francis - Makeshift Patriot (about patriot act - "don't wave your rights with your flags")
Outkast - War
NoFX - Murder the Government, Franco Unamerican
Thursday - Autobiography of a Nation (on the treatment of native americans)

(btw, <3 your icon, I just got the third volume of Snop Drop the other week, and am halfway thru. It truly is 100% manwha bishi goodness. Btw, you do have Kill Me Kiss Me right?)
*kills self for not mentioning the Makeshift Patriot song*

It's been a while since I've heard it, that's all.
Signatures are for saying things in a hope to be remembered. I'm not sure if I even want you to remember me.

A lot of songs by KMFDM are politically and socially charged, especially on their newest album, WWIII. Most of their lyrics are also written in a very propagandistic style, so the satire/commentary is driven even deeper, and even works well on their more comical or laid-back, fun tracks like Juke-joint Jezebel, which has nothing to do with politics whatsoever.

We had our anti songs in the distant past, viet war era, social unrest, Kent State, ect. :(
Try the Beatles - Revolution or the Who - Won't Get Fooled Again or even the Beach Boys - Student Demonstration Time.
They were wild times to live in, love ins and burned draft cards.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

Thanks for the link DD. I've heard some about this, it's a shame we have to concider a draft just to be the worlds policeman. :( Perhaps we shouldn't be trying to tell everyone that they have to be just what we want them to be, like when we fought over ideologies with the Soviet Union.

You're looking in the wrong place. If it's ANTI-Government you want, look no further than MEGADETH! Even their new up-coming album, The System Has Failed says everything you need.

With you all the way DD, here are some lyrics to a little song done by the Kingston Treo back in the 60s, thought you might get a chuckle. still fits, kind of a protest with a laugh

There's rioting in Africa
there's starving in Spain
There's hurricains in Florida
and Texas needs rain

The whole world is festering with unhappy souls
the French hate the Germans
the Germans hate the Poles
Italians hate Yugoslaves
South Africans hate the Dutch

And I don't like anybody very much

but we can be thankful and tranquil and proud
for man's been endowed
with the mushroom shaped cloud
and we know for certain that some lucky day
someone will set the spark off
and we will all be blown away

there's rioting in Africa
there's stife in Iran
what nature doesn't do to us
wil be done by our fellow man
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

Not to go off topic too much, but thanks for that link. If the inevitable happends, I'm afraid many of you here will end up Killing and Dying in Iraq very soon.

My prayers are with you all :(

Considering the perceived average intelligence of most of the posters here, I don't think they'd be considered suitable for playing war, much less going to it.

On the other hand, if they are accepted, it's a removal of annoying deadwood from the general populace.

Win-win, either way.

As for anti-government songs, I'll just second KMFDM and recommend some Ministry.
I'm out...
