Gimme some J-Pop artists!!

Post by Bushido Philosopher » Mon Jul 29, 2002 11:57 am

I've always loved JPop but only until recently did I notice that I do not have that much.

So do you know any songs and/or artists that you think are one of the best? I need some JPop!! :D

you should really get Utada Hikaru. Her songs are awesome!! She looks like she's 17, but she's 21!! OMG! She is an amazing singer, and you should try to look for her song called 'Sakura Drops' or 'Uso Mitai Na I Love You' those are some good songs!

Myself, I'm quite fond of the girls of I've Sound.

(If anyone remembers that faux Troubled Windows opening sequence from a while back, the background song is by I've, sung by Kotoko.)

But then, I seem to like that heavily produced synthpop/dance/this-song-just-screams-DDR sound, so your results may vary.

Cocco's also got some good tracks, and of course there's also the pillows, though I don't know whether they'd count as J-pop or more as J-rock (I really don't know that much about the scene).

Megumi Hayashibara
The High-Lows
the pillows

Oh, and these two:

TWO-MIX

but they're more dance bands than anything.
Life's short.

I'm more in J-Rock. But a good J-Pop song is YATTA! I can never remember the name of the band. They're not realy a band anyway.
