You should check them out, they ROCK...Vlad86 wrote: Don't have anything by Tool, but all the rest are great.
I do not, I dont have a 5.1 system, so getting it would be kinda useless, LOL..Vlad86 wrote: By the way, do you have the Blue Man Group "Audio" 5.1 dvd-audio?
It's beyond awesome.....Blue Man Group kicks ass.
This is very true, but some songs are better with sionging, 'cause with Instrumental, it sounds kinda repedetive (ex: "Nothing at all")Vlad86 wrote: Also, I'm listening to Rob Dougan right now. I like his instrumental stuff better. He......just can't sing, but his music is good.

(not necessarily in this order)
*Journey
*The Aquabats
*T.M. Revolution
*John Williams
*Mormon Tabernacle Choir
*Blast (is that the name of the actual group? All I know is that's the name of the show they put on)
*InsideOut
[just to name a few]
How about that for diverse tastes

this thread disgusts me. almost none of you have any comprehension of what good music is.
Most of you like good genres of music, but then your "favorite top 5" bands are the shittiest out of that genre.
If you like pop punk for example, blink-182, green day, hey mike!, spitalfield, new found glory, the ataris (with knowledge of their first 3 CDs) and bands like sum 41 should be on your list. not fucking good charlotte and yellowcard.
for fans of modern rock, if you put creed on your list, you're an idiot. listen to some red hot chili peppers, creed is TERRIBLE. you could teach a 2nd grader in music class how to play their songs, not too meantion they all sound the same and their videos suck.
A lot of people listed Alexisonfire, which is good, they are an amazing band. But an even more amazing band in that genre is Saosin, and not one person who meantioned alexis meantioned saosin. the only explanation for this is that you don't know who Saosin is. You kids need to learn how to go out and find more music from the genres you like, mtv isn't going to deliver every band to your door step wrapped with care in some magical ipod.
It's not hard to find out more about a music genre AT ALL. Just go to the bands website that you already know you like. See who they're on tour with, check out those bands music, click the link to the band's record label and see what other bands are on the same label.
This thread absolutely disgusts me.

Not to mention the subjectivity of perception.
As I observed from the occasional minor squabble among the metalheads around here, most of whom seem well-versed in the genre, while there are many commonly agreed views in that genre, there is no complete consensus on what the 'best metal' or 'best whatever' actually is.
But certainly, I gotta agree that sometimes a lack of competence and ignorance of the larger pictire in the music scene is apparent and appaling.
'Best'/most 'Real' music is a matter of personal choice. But the respect of that choice by others should, I think, be conditional on the degree of competence with which this choice was actually made.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
