. The issue of MP3's contains a Moral Value:
"... just because you can - doesn't mean you should."
If we were to follow the Liberal's thinking on MP3's and switch it to an example
of our daily lives, it would look something like this, "We are reserving this
service/job for someone who went to School for that JOB and we believe
that only those who are qualified via the schooling should have that job.
That way they can pay for the schooling and benefit from their teachings."
... anyone find more than two flaws with this example?

Interesting. The top 32nd track on that list is by an artist named Scintilla.oldwrench wrote:I found this site that has a number of free mp3 downloads, check it out.

These mp3s are free samples given out by the artists in the hope that you will like them and buy their cd. Many "starving artist" groups have free samples on the internet trying to attract listeners, and jobs. Maybe you can find a good piece for an amv and help advertize their music.

. but, that's part of the problem with the concept of making AMV's - only CD'soldwrench wrote:Many "starving artist" groups have free samples on the internet trying to attract listeners, and jobs. and purchased music's are allowed at this and other a-m-v.org's
. I remember plenty of songs that we grew up with that would make ultra
nice AMV's and some of the newer songs would also be great.. however, by
my using the old "Hamm's Beer" jingle MP3 and blending it to "Running Bear's MP3"
does not help promote either product - nor benefit the singing groups unless
I bought the songs ( or sent them money and told them that I'd be using their
song in an up coming AMV. )

I would have to check that. I think legaly recorded music, such as freeware downloads would be allowed. The more people they can get to hear their music the more likely it is someone will buy their cds. It's the same as companies giving out free samples, they would like you to share them with others in the hope of gaining coustomers. I don't advocate sharing copyrited music like the old napster did, but these would have less legal issues for making an amv than music off a cd you bought.post-it wrote:that's part of the problem with the concept of making AMV's - only CD's

Peh, it's allowed.
Now, noone says I had to make an AMV to Happy Banana Tuna, but I'm sure glad I did - and where would I have got it if not a free download?

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
