Their musics are probably alright, but I'm averse to any overt or implicational manifestations of fetishizing the inherent and delineated meanings of music.

She actually wants to do country music, and did country music in her hometown until she was signed. The people who signed her were like "yeah... country isn't gonna do it, so what we're gonna do is make you punkish, you can do that for a few years, get super successful and well liked, and then segue into country. Alanis Morrissette did it when she segued from bubblegum pop into ... whatever it is she does now, you can to!"

Based on appearance alone, it's completely impossible to be an individual. So in a very real sense, we're all "posers."

By that logic all contemporary art and science is somewhat derived from something in the past and theirfor its creator should hold no copyright ownership to their creations.
