I actually mostly agree with this statement. You shouldn't have withdrawn it. A partial understanding is enough with me, as long as the folks can feel the tone and message of the song and get a mutual vibe from it.
Then that would go for any genre: if you don't "get" the music, you have no business using it. That would be the ideal approach for people in their music videos, but it's not going to happen and I'm not going to get upset over it.
Pretty much, yeah, it may apply to any other genre. I mean, one does not have to completely immerse him/herself into the culture just to have an understanding. Just don't use the music and the artform as some commodity, as well as seeing the music as some novelty that's hip and trendy just because it's unique from that person's normal lifestyle.

i think i prefer the old school hip hop songs better than todays just because most of the songs actually rapped about something. Im not saying that today's rap artists dont rap about important things, its just that u c less of them.

Someone needs to use the Streets for an AMV.

British hip-hop with tongue in cheek, dry humour.

I recommend Geezers Need Excitement.
I fear the little people.

wow, i really hope ur not an amv creator, if u cant open your mind to all ideas, and all styles of music, including rap, then u have no bisness in amvs.

In fact ppl like you are part of the reason to make rap amvs. To piss ppl like you off.

Im not against any form, style or music inside an amv, so why should arseholes like you be.

And until you open your mind to everything, all of your amvs will be s#!t on the bottom of shoes.

If you're saying that you don't like hearing rap in the anime itself, (like the openning theme to One Piece, the Pokerap, hearing a character bust a freestyle, etc.), then I would be inclined to somewhat agree with you.

But, if you're saying that you don't want rap music in an AMV, then you seriously need open your mind to all ideas that are put into AMVs. If this is the case, then I have another reason to make more rap AMVs, and that is to piss people like you the fuck off.

I personally like rap music to be in AMV's its mostly what I listen to. Making a rap AMV is hard to pull off and I respect any1 who can do it. I'm thinking about doing an AMV to Ghetto Boyz "Balls and my Word" but they don't really rap in it and its more of a dj song but its still a pretty good song. Does anybody have anything in particular to say about the song?
