Wu-Tang Clan has the best music for amv's, some of there songs have that asain feel to it. Try "Hell's wind staff" by wu-tang and you will see what I mean.

I have done a couple of music videos that have used rap. The first one i did was coming to Tokyo whic used GTO and Trigun With Ludacris'' Coming to America. not really hard core rap but decent. The video is ok but it was like my second video and i didnt know as much. My second and probobly most famous was A Very Bootyful Christmas which used Sir mix A lots I like big butts. Check out the turntables youll love em. I did a video using NERD but i dont know if they are considered rap or hip hop.

If anything i would say that a rap amv is harder to do than any other type of amv because
1 finding footage is not to easy
2. rap songs are usually faster paced than other songs
3. you are mostly stuck to editing to the lyrics and are not as free to put in whatver.

Personally I give props to anyone that can make a good rap/hip-hop amv.

If given a difficulty scale between a rock amv and a rap amv i would say the rap is more difficult.

It would be nice if someone would put A Very Bootyful Christmas on the Recommended list too. oh well

I made a couple and with Tupac too. He's one of the most difficult to make an AMV to. It's mainly due to his rap style. He has an incredibly strong storytelling that straying even a bit off his themes would weaken either the video, the song, or even both. Biggie is just as hard if not harder.

That's some of the stupidest crap I've ever heard...

I saw your AMV with step by step progress...
(Link for people to check it out)
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=92259

And I thought it was one of the best AMVs I've ever seen...

I can't believe people are stupid enough to judge your AMV on the fact that you used rap..

The skill it took to make that specific AMV was very nicely used...

The Lipsyncing and the Direct usage of the lyrics matching with the Video is something that most AMVs don't have...

I urge you all to check this AMV out and make a judgement/comment on his skill rather than his choice in music...

Even though i listen to rap music, its very hard to make good amvs with rap music because the music is kinda monotonous....
