A song that really speaks to you
Hello. Just wondering, what songs really speak to you? Really get your emotions flowing? Make you cry/smile/laugh/brood, w/e.
For me id have to say probably "Hello" by Evanescence. It was written for Bonnie Lee, Amy Lee's sister, because she had died when she was little. It really gets me thinking what it would be like if my sister had died, and it makes me cry, but i actually like a good cry. Im quite Morbid most of the time, or at least act like i am. It also gives me lots of tragic story inspirations. And drawing inspirations. I have so many things in my folders that my couselur could get me sent to an insane asylum for. ~Shannon

I'm in a strange mood, so I'll actually take this topic seriously for a change.
Dream Theater's "Learning to Live" (lyrics) is probably the only song that's lifted me out of my dark spells more than once. Shit happens, and you've gotta move past it.

Beto Vazquez Infinity-Sadness in the Night (with Tarja)
This song will speak to you in one way or another...it is a very sad song, yet beautifully sad....it doesn't just try to bombard you with sad words to get your tears going, but rather expresses this real emotion and sense of loss...
"to stay with him beyond this life, run accross the sky, let me see the sun again...let me die give me the light, I'm waiting for him to knock on my door to release my pain..."
Now for a song that will lift me up from even the darkest moods..
Lost Horizon-Sworn in the Metal Wind
"If you're broken, remember, you got faith within us!
Take now your next deep breath and revive
your old strength!!"

Oh how convenient. A theory about God that doesn't require looking through a telescope.
