Best albums of 2005

Dreadnaught, some nice aussie metal, changed their style over the years and now their vocalist actually got singing lessons

They sound more heavy/hair band like but still hold their own sound. A decent listen for something different.

I dont about you guys but to me this has been a GREAT year for music. i've heard so many good records this year that i cant name a favorite. so here i go in no particular order:

The chemical Brothers - Push the button
Block party - Silent Alarm
Franz ferdinand - You could have it so much better

Well i think that's as fine as it can get for me this year!

talib kweli's right about now and gorillaz's demon days are the best i've heard. i didn't like franz ferdinand's album... at least not as much as the first.

KMFDM - "Hau Ruck"

Despite basically being a sequel to the "WWIII" album, as a whole it's much stronger, with no filler tracks.

The Birthday Massacre - "Violet" (extended LP version)

A re-release of the EP with some earlier tracks tacked on, by far the best goth band going right now.

Throwdown - "Vendetta"

The only 'hardcore' band I bother with, this CD simply beat the hell out of me. Won't stop me hitting the bottle, but I never claimed to be straight-edge.
