Your artist/group of the moment.
AT THE MOMENT, who is your top artist or group? It WAS Steve Winwood for me, but I'm not sure if it will be much longer, because I've been listening to Anthrax ever since I (finally) got a CD copy of "Among The Living". Also have the LP vinyl edition which I bought back in 2002, and I'm hoping to eventually give the vinyl a spin sometime soon.

Yeah, English is weird
Does anyone else have their top group change really rapidly? Mine was Mike Doughty for about two weeks, now it's American Football and Beck. And those will probably last me all of the rest of the day, then change again. A mood or style might strike me for longer than that, I had a metal period a few months ago and a hardcore/emo mood before that that lasted a couple months, but individual bands usually don't have enough repertoire to pull it off for me.

DDT, by and far. The group's music, and especially Shevchuk's lyrics and vocals, have really hit home so to say. It's kind of difficult to relate DDT's relevance and genius in English - they're just so specifically rooted in Russian, even less so Russian language and culture but more the Russian 'soul', "dusha", a certain spirit which is uniquely inherent to people of that country. And of course it works on a broader level, too, since there's a lot of wisdom, pain and joy in this music that is completely 'living' - feeling, suffering, lashing out and savouring.
Real rock-n-roll soul, needless to say

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I've recently fell back into Man or Astro-man? after being pulled away by the likes of Queensryche and (gads) even Slipknot for a short period there.
Life's short.
